ThioEthix™ is used to provide relief from rigidity, tension and stiffness in muscles that may occur due to various conditions affecting your nervous system. It is also used in combination with other medicines to treat joint pains.

Thiocolchicoside works by blocking certain receptors in your brain that cause pain, stiffness and swelling. Thiocolchicoside comes in oral (tablet and capsule) and injection dosage forms. Your doctor will decide the dosage form based on the severity of the pain. Thiocolchicoside has some common side effects like diarrhoea, stomach pain, nausea and sleepiness. This medicine may also cause dizziness. Do not drive vehicles or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. If any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get worse, seek a doctor's consultation at the earliest. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it.

Thiocolchicoside should be taken with or immediately after food to avoid an upset stomach. Thiocolchicoside injection should be given in the hospital setting by specialized healthcare professionals.
