Povidone Iodine 5% Solution is a topical antiseptic. It is used to prevent and treat minor wounds and skin infections. This medicine works by killing germs and preventing the spread of infection. It is also used to sanitize the skin before a surgical procedure is performed.

Povidone Iodine 5% Solution may cause some side effects like burning sensation, redness, or irritation at the site of application. If any of these side effects do not resolve with time or worsen, consult your doctor. Avoid direct contact with your eyes and nose. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water. Avoid using this medicine if you are allergic to it.

Povidone Iodine 5% Solution is meant for external use only. Clean and dry the affected area and apply this medicine uniformly on your skin. Allow the medicine to dry completely before applying a bandage. Do not apply a tight bandage.
