How it works
Cefixime works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell walls. This helps in stopping the growth and multiplication of the microorganism, eventually killing it.
Ofloxacin works by inhibiting an enzyme required for the bacterial DNA to replicate, thus inhibiting bacterial cell division. The combination is thus better effective than monotherapy for the treatment of typhoid fever and urinary tract infections.
