Summary
Carboxymethyl Cellulose is used to relieve burning, itching, and discomfort of eyes caused due to dryness or exposure to the sun or the wind.
Carboxymethyl Cellulose rarely shows any side effects. You may experience eye pain and irritation while using Carboxymethyl Cellulose. These side effects are often temporary and go away on their own. Consult your doctor if these side effects are getting persistent or worse.
Carboxymethyl Cellulose eye drops, eye gel, eye ointment and eye injection may cause some visual disturbances. Therefore, do not perform activities like driving vehicles or operating machines after using these medicines.
Carboxymethyl Cellulose is available in many forms. Eye drops, eye gels and eye ointments are topically applied to your eyes for treating dry eyes. Eye injections are administered by qualified healthcare professionals in a hospital/clinic to treat dry eyes.

General Instructions
Use VISICMC™- 5 as per the instructions present on the label.
For Carboxymethyl Cellulose eye gel, ointment and drops: Wash your hands before and after using this eye medicine.
Avoid touching the tip of the tube against your eye or other surfaces. Close the cover of the bottle after administration to keep it clean and free from contamination.
Do not wipe or rinse the tube tip. Do not use Carboxymethyl Cellulose for more than 30 days after breaking the seal.
Avoid using Carboxymethyl Cellulose if the solution is cloudy or the colour has changed.
