MOXIETHIX™

Moxifloxacin Eye Drops IP

PACKING SIZE / TYPE

5 ML

Summary

MOXIETHIX™ is an antibiotic used for the treatment of bacterial infections that affect the skin, lungs, nose, eyes, stomach and intestine. This medicine is effective against a large number of bacteria. It works by blocking the action of enzymes required for bacterial multiplication. This prevents further growth and kills the infection-causing bacteria.

MOXIETHIX™ may cause some common side effects such as stomach pain, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting, headache, dizziness, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or if they become severe.

MOXIETHIX™ oral forms (tablets, capsules) should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. You will start to feel better in a few days. However, continue taking the medicine for the prescribed duration. Skipping doses or not completing the full course of treatment may result in decreased effectiveness of the medicine or increased risk of re-infection that would be difficult to treat in the future. MOXIETHIX™ injection will be administered by qualified healthcare professionals in a hospital setting. MOXIETHIX™ eye/ear drops, eye ointments should be instilled in your eyes/ears as advised by your doctor. This medication is effective only for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria and not viruses.

MOXIETHIX™ is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have diabetes, heart or liver problems before starting the treatment. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
