Summary

IBUVEE PLUS is a combination of Ibuprofen (NSAID) and Paracetamol (analgesic & antipyretic) formulated for effective management of pain, fever, and inflammation. The synergistic action of these two medicines provides quick relief in conditions such as headache, toothache, arthritis, muscle pain, back pain, menstrual cramps, and fever.

Side Effects

  • Stomach upset, nausea, vomiting

  • Heartburn, indigestion

  • Dizziness, headache

  • Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling – rare)

  • Gastric irritation (with prolonged use)

Usage

  • Taken orally with water after meals to reduce gastric irritation.

  • Used for short-term relief of pain, fever, and inflammation.

Concerns

  • Should not be used as long-term therapy without medical supervision.

  • Overuse may cause liver or kidney damage (due to paracetamol) or gastric ulcers (due to ibuprofen).

  • Not recommended for children under physician’s advice without proper dosing guidance.

When not to use?

  • Patients with allergy to Ibuprofen, Paracetamol, or NSAIDs

  • History of stomach ulcers or GI bleeding

  • Severe liver or kidney impairment

  • Asthma triggered by NSAIDs

  • During pregnancy (3rd trimester) without medical advice

Warnings

  • Use cautiously in patients with hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or alcohol use.

  • Avoid alcohol consumption (increases risk of liver damage with paracetamol).

  • Not to be used with other NSAIDs or paracetamol-containing medicines.

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use only under medical supervision.

Dosage

  • Adults & Children above 12 years: As prescribed, usually 1 tablet every 6–8 hours if needed.

  • Maximum daily dose: Should not exceed 4000mg of paracetamol and 1200mg of ibuprofen from all sources.

  • Always follow physician’s prescription for exact dosage.

Interactions

  • Alcohol → increases liver toxicity risk with paracetamol

  • Anticoagulants (Warfarin) → risk of bleeding with ibuprofen

  • Antihypertensives (ACE inhibitors, beta-blockers) → reduced effectiveness due to ibuprofen

  • Other NSAIDs / corticosteroids → increases gastric irritation

  • Methotrexate, Lithium → may increase toxicity

General Instructions

  • Take after food with plenty of water.

  • Do not crush or chew the tablet.

  • Avoid self-medication for long-term use.

  • Do not double dose if missed one; take the next scheduled dose.
