Ethroflox™-OZ Suspension is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial formulation combining the potent antibacterial action of Ofloxacin with the anti-protozoal and anaerobic coverage of Metronidazole. This synergistic combination is highly effective in treating mixed infections caused by aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, as well as protozoa.

It is commonly prescribed for gastrointestinal infections, diarrhea, dysentery, and other infections where dual microbial coverage is required. The suspension form ensures easy administration, especially for pediatric and geriatric patients.

Common side effects may include:

• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Abdominal pain
• Metallic taste
• Headache
• Dizziness

Rare but serious:

• Allergic reactions (rash, itching)
• Tendon inflammation (due to Ofloxacin)

Ethroflox™-OZ Suspension is used in the treatment of:

• Acute diarrhea
• Amoebic dysentery
• Gastroenteritis
• Mixed bacterial infections
• Intestinal infections caused by protozoa
• Infections involving anaerobic bacteria

• Use cautiously in patients with liver disorders
• Avoid alcohol during treatment (due to Metronidazole)
• May cause dizziness—avoid driving if affected
• Long-term use may lead to resistance

Do not use Ethroflox™-OZ Suspension if:

• Hypersensitivity to Ofloxacin or Metronidazole
• History of tendon disorders with fluoroquinolones
• Severe liver disease (unless advised by doctor)
• First trimester of pregnancy (consult doctor)

• Use with caution in elderly patients
• Not recommended for prolonged use
• Monitor liver and kidney function in long-term therapy
• Avoid alcohol to prevent severe reactions (nausea, flushing, palpitations)
• Use carefully in patients with neurological disorders

• Adults & Children: As prescribed by the physician
• Typically taken 2 times daily after meals
• Shake well before use

Note: Dosage depends on age, body weight, and severity of infection.

Ethroflox™-OZ may interact with:

• Antacids (reduce effectiveness of Ofloxacin)
• Alcohol (severe reaction with Metronidazole)
• Warfarin (increased bleeding risk)
• Anti-diabetic drugs (monitor glucose levels)

• Complete the full course even if symptoms improve
• Take with food to reduce stomach upset
• Shake well before each use
• Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight
• Keep out of reach of children
