Deflazacort is a glucocorticoid prodrug that is metabolized into an active metabolite with fewer side effects compared to traditional corticosteroids. It modulates the immune response, reduces inflammation, and provides symptomatic relief in chronic and acute conditions.

Common side effects of ETHCORT-12 may include:

• Weight gain

Severe side effects (rare):
