Summary
Atorvastatin Tablets I.P is a medicine consisting of Atorvastatin. It is used in the treatment of high blood cholesterol and triglycerides (fats) levels. This medicine works by blocking the production of unhealthy fats in your body and prevents the risk of heart problems and stroke (a condition that causes reduced oxygen supply to the brain).
Atorvastatin Tablets I.P has some side effects like nausea, weakness, muscle pain, stomach pain, etc. These side effects are mild and may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if these side effects last for a long time or worsen.

If the cholesterol level is above 250 mg/dl, it is called primary cholesterolaemia. Atorvastatin Tablets I.P is used to lower abnormally high levels of cholesterol in your blood thereby decreasing the risk of heart attacks.
- Hyperlipidaemia
Hyperlipidaemia is a condition that is characterized by a high level of bad cholesterol and triglycerides (type of fats) in your blood. It may increase the risk of heart problems due to the buildup of fats, cholesterol, and other substances in your blood vessels. Atorvastatin Tablets I.P is used in the treatment of hyperlipidaemia.
- Prevention of heart attack and stroke
High levels of blood cholesterol and fats in the blood vessels may cause obstruction in blood flow leading to heart attack or stroke. Atorvastatin Tablets I.P is used to prevent heart attack and stroke (damage to the brain due to insufficient blood supply).
